About me

Emily Wells is a Current Student at Utah State University studying Journalism and Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations, along with minors in Film Studies and Marketing Design. Her work focuses on brand image, strategic messaging, and digital media, with a strong interest in how storytelling shapes perception and builds meaningful connection between organizations and their audiences. She is especially interested in the intersection of social media, visual storytelling, and public relations.

Emily has worked as a PR and Marketing Intern with Horizon Health, where she supported branding and communication efforts within a professional healthcare setting. More recently, she joined the C-Sweet Utah Chapter as a Marketing and Events Intern, where she assists with event promotion, content creation, and strengthening community engagement. These roes have expanded her experience in both strategic communication and real-world brand execution.

Emily has also gained hands-on experience through her work with Aggie TV-News, where she contributed to social media campaigns and created short form content. Her work includes developing engaging digital content, refining brand voice, and producing media that balances creativity with strategy. She is particular drawn to content that feels authentic and resonates with real audiences.

In addition to her work in public relations, Emily is interested in documentary filmmaking and observational storytelling. One of her recent projects follows a day in the life of her brother, a cowboy, capturing the unnoticed and demanding nature of his work. This project reflects her broader interest in telling stories that often go unseen but carry depth and meaning.

Emily is interested in pursuing a career in public relation where she can contribute to brand development, content strategy, and storytelling. She is especially drawn to work that involves creative direction, digital media, and campaigns that make a lasting impact.

Outside of her academic and professional work, Emily enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors, whether that's hiking, paddleboarding, playing tennis, or reading a good book. Emily also has a passion for traveling and will be visiting Keyna later this year.
